MAX VANGELI Q&A
We caught up with rising star Max ahead of his retrun to House Rules at Plan B Brixton on Saturday 27th August, alongside Norman Jay and Gareth Wyn....
What have you been up to this summer so far?
If I was to tell you the truth I think you would not believe me J

You’re about to bring out an album, talk us through some of the highlights of it and where did the name come from?
Yeah Antoine and I are almost done with it and its been something we really wanted to do. Its something special to us because not too many people can say they have done an album in this industry. The name comes form our first single with Tiesto, “People of The Night”. Because we are the people of the night J
What’s your favourite track from it and why?
It’s a record called “Fresh Start” at the moment, but no official name yet. Its my favourite because it really does describe mine and Antoine’s true sound. Its just pure magic in my opinion.
Talk us through your production set up?
Haha very simple Logic and inspiration.
Top five tunes in your record box at the moment?
Hmmmm my top five are all form our album really, I just love it too much I guess. I do love the new SHM vs Cold Play record as well as the new Ingrosso and Alesso record. Other than that “People of The Night”, “Whisper”, and “Fresh Start”.
What are you looking forward to for the rest of 2011?

What do you do to get away from dance music?
Lots of sleep and other music!
What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen in clubland?
I signed girl’s tits in front of her boyfriend, but the funny thing is that he asked me to do it!
Bank Holidays in London are massive and you’re playing alongside arguably one of the BIGGEST names in UK dance music, Norman Jay, what can the House Rules crowd expect from you?
Hmmmm im not sure, it really depends on many things, but from the bottom of my heart I promise not to disappoint…its my rule for life!

NORMAN JAY MBE
Norman Jay has announced that Good Times won't be at the Notting Hill Carnival for the first time in 30 years this year. But we've still got him! The only place to see Norman over August Bank Holiday in London, this makes his return to House Rules at Plan B Brixton even more special.
Norman is arguably one of the finest and most respected DJs in the world today whose talents and many years of dedicated service to his profession have now seen him rightfully acknowledged by the highest authority in the land. On Saturday 15th June 2002, Norman was officially cited in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Birthday Honours List with the recommendation that he be appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire, an MBE no less, awarded on merit for "deejaying and services to music".
